Oh Chelsea!

For my pre-birthday lunch celebration, S and I decided to dine at Chelsea's at Serendra.

The choice was so easy, we checked the menu online and seeing that they had Cheese fondue in it, we were sold!

First came the complimentary bread. We didn't quite get the whole clove of baked garlic on top but at least they had free bread which is good any way you see it. Haha

Our drinks came second. I had the strawberry iced tea (left) while S got the Lemon iced tea slush ( right)
We were thinking of what to pair with our cheese fondue so we decided on getting pasta. I didn't really care so much for what we would get, I was too excited for the cheese so I let S decide on this one. We got the Chicken and Spinach and Cream Sauce (ha! sorry, don't quite remember the exact name of the dish)
I actually found this a bit bland. But I figured maybe the chicken was supposed to give it the "flavor" and since I don't eat chicken I was stuck with tasteless pasta.

Howwrighty! Here comes the star of this post: the JalapeƱo Cheddar and Swiss Emmental Fondue!
The waiter asked us what size we wanted to get and we answered, "the good for 4 please". He was surprised and was probably expecting two other friends to arrive but no Sir, the meal was just for the two of us :P

Nom nom nom! Can you see the jalapeno powder? Yummmy! Was just a bit annoyed that the flame kept burning out that the cheese coagulated after some time. I think Chelsea should rethink how their fondue burners work.

The items for dipping! I actually enjoyed dipping the olives because it was perfect with the stingy taste of the emmenthal.

The tortilla chips were to-die-for! They were light and airy and not greasy, you would think they were baked
Aaaaah, the pleasure of eating good food! Chelsea is just the place to go to when you want to treat yourself to the BEST that food can offer. The ingredients are fresh and you just know you're eating something good for you. This is really what cooking should be about: taking the best ingredients and turning them into culinary masterpieces--where even the simplest things (like chips) would taste gourmet!

TMF rating: 8/10 (just because the flame on our fondue kept going out!)
