Jusf saying....

It breaks our hearts when we get invites to events only to realize it posts a conflict in our schedule... or worse that the invitation came too late.

We love events! We love getting invitations and having something to look forward to. So you could only imagine our frustration when we don't get to go to the events we get invited to :(

Oh well. Just saying...

Good Burger, home of the 'good' burger

"Welcome to Good Burger! Home of the Good Burger! Can I take yer or-derrrrr?"

I grew up watching All That in Nickelodeon and one of my fondest segments was the one with Kenan and Kel doing "Good Burger". It was so hilarious and their trademark greeting, "Welcome to Good Burger, Home of the Good Burger, Can I take your order??", is just so unforgettable!

So when I heard about this place that sells Vegetarian burgers called "good burger", I texted S immediately so we can set a date ASAP!

I really thought it was a local adaption of 'All That's Good Burger', so I was so disappointed to find out that they don't say the famous three lines! Ugh! Seriously, they should!!! I want them to! It would be so cute!-- plus, I'd probably be calling them more just so I can hear them say it. (lol!)

So okay, enough about those lines... let's go to the stars, the true heroes of this post: the burgers!!!

I've heard about how good 'Good burger's' burgers are. Looking for good vegetarian burger patties is really tough co'z for some reason, the patties end up tasteless or worse, rock-hard. The burgers I've eaten have all failed miserably that I've almost given up hope of finding a vegetarian substitute to burger-- that is, before I took a bite (or more) of these:

Garlic Barbeque Burger

Cheesy Mushroom Burger

I won't lie, veggie burgers are very bland and for meat-eaters, a total disappointment. So you really shouldn't expect too much from veggie burgers because they're bound to fail in flavor and 'juiciness'. But these ones from Good Burger prove that there is a future for veggie burgers!

The patty isn't so disappointing at all! It was soft and 'juicy' that it resembled a real beef patty. The condiments also added to the juiciness of it and gave the usually bland veggie patty flavor a total spin and made it yum-my!

I really enjoyed the burgers a lot! I'm so used to the hard veggie patties I get that it was a nice change to bite into something soft and flavorful for the first time. lol!

I'm not sure if this the BEST veggie burger around because I feel there's still something missing, but Good Burger is definitely on my list of must-trys for vegetarians!

Try it for yourself today! (you can choose between veggie or chicken patty!) Good for those on a diet or health buffs too!

This Summer, go Soft

Maybe it's effective advertising. Or maybe it's because I'm currently fixated on the color peach and baby pink. But I find myself getting drawn to Johnson and Johnson's 'Soft Look' ad as (sometimes) featured on the site (I hope you see the ad I am seeing right now)

All the pieces are just so whimsical! I couldn't resist dropping by Bayo to see them up close. I am loving everything! But the hefty price tag is keeping me from getting all the pieces in the collection. Ugh!

They are so nice up close! But then, because they were styled so well, you can't help get the exact same pieces and wear them the exact same way as well. Lol!

If you want to see more of the collection, check out their facebook (it's the same link as when you click on the ad. lol!)

Movie Review: Shutter Island

I'll keep this short.

Plot: original... unless you've seen Asylum before then not anymore
Acting: As always, Leo D is amazing!
Fear level: not enough to give you nightmares
Overall impact: As the French say, Comci Comca (not good, not bad either)

Life under a rock

I am so out of the loop on showbiz lately. Is it just me or did you also know that Hilary Duff is engaged?

Gaaaaaah. I am honestly shocked at this news. I didn't even know she had a boyfriend after Joel Madden (hahaha, that is so long ago!)

Ugh. I seriously need to watch more tv.

Boo me. @_@

Flava mix!

It's too hot lately that I have been drinking a lot of powdered juices, which is so unlike me co'z I don't like the taste of artificial food. Well, thank God for the heat because I just discovered a very unlikely but super tasty flavor mix!

Tang Strawberry Watermelon + Eight O Clock Pineapple = YUMMY!!!

Normally, I hate the taste of powdered strawberry juice. It's just too 'fake'. But with the watermelon and pineapple added to it, it brought the strawberry to life and made it taste gooooood!

I'm not sure if you'd agree with me with this one but I just really find the taste "amusing" and "cute". I can actually finish a whole litre of it! (in fact I almost did while watching dvds. lol!) So I say, just try it for yourself, then be the judge! At the end of the day, it's all about experimenting with flavors and discovering which ones appeal to your palate. Good luck girls! :)

Charice takes on RnB!

I don't know if I've just been dwelling in a 'cave' for too long but it's only now that I found out that the Charice sang the song Pyramid! So okay, maybe I have been living under a rock but reaaaaally! I have been humming that song for weeks, not realizing it was Charice! Goodness, she is sooooo good!

I think Charice has found her genre in RnB. This song totally rocks! I'm so proud of her! :D

One phone, two lines

Nowadays, it's normal for people to have more than one cellphone because they are subscribers of more than one network. I, myself, have three sim cards! I know 3 units sound a bit too much but I can't seem to choose which line to dispose. So, as a solution, I am seriously considering getting a dual sim phone.

I've been trying to find a brand which offers dual sim phones. Only two brands offer the technology in our country. One is MyPhone while the other one is Samsung. I haven't indulged on the thought of getting a myphone because I don't want another "qwerty key" phone. In Samsung's website, I found more than one unit which offers the dual sim technology.

Here are the phone models that I'm considering:

1. Samsung C6112
What I find cute about this unit: It has a fake call function that lets the phone to automatically start ringing which comes in quite handy for people who are trying to avoid their stalkers. ;) I also like that it's in slider form!
What I don't like about this unit: The tacky logo on the top part of the screen (Duos)

2. Samsung D880
What I like about the unit: It looks more professional and it is also in slider form. The 3 megapixel camera isn't bad, either.
What I don't like about the unit: I don't know what's not to like about it (probably because there's not much info about the unit in their website)

3. Samsung B5722
What I like about the unit: You can easily switch between two sim cards without having to restart the unit! I'm not sure though if this doesn't apply to the other two phone models I've mentioned above. Camera's also 3 megapixels.
What I don't like about the unit: It's a touchscreen phone! I've been traumatized by touchscreen phones (my Ericsson touchscreen phones all got busted less than a year from purchase). Also, it might be a bit too hard to text while driving.. Well, technically I don't do that and I can't. I do, however, text sometimes when I'm waiting for the stoplight to turn green.

So guys, what do you think should I get? B5722 is their latest model out of the 3 (and probably the most up-to-date technology?). I'm slightly partial to D880 because it's the "in-between" model out of the 3. But I can go for the C6112 if D880 isn't available. Help, please.
