Crush crush crush

"I noticed your eyes are always glued to me
Keeping them here and it makes no sense at all"
-Crushcrushcrush, Paramore

Been extra gloomy this weekend that going to the CCP for Pasinaya was my only saving grace. Although the whole event was meant to be festive and colorful, I found myself gravitating towards dark denims and angst-y pieces. Ha! The rocker chick look will always be my favorite :P

The whole complex was crazy full of people, it didn't matter what you do. It was really like one huge festival of sorts! I especially enjoyed how my cousin and I got to flop down on the sidewalk without it looking out of the ordinary. Really, rare moments like that are my favorites :)

Sorry for my background. As I said there were a lot of people in the area and I felt a bit shy to do my "poses", hence the open car door. Haha :P

Cropped top- My Arte Ako (cropped it myself)
High waisted shorts - Taylor & Co.
Denim zip up boots - Parisian

So how was Pasinaya 2011? One word:  uh-mazing! It's like one big school fair difference being that all the performances are top class!

I especially love how everywhere you go, there's something going on. A dance group suddenly performs on the side street, or you suddenly bump into characters in Spartan costumes or chance upon a fat guy in a dress. It's like being in a circus!-- only, there are no freaks, just incredibly talented Filipino artists! :)

Click to see my day in pictures!

The CCP grounds was like one big fair! People were everywhere and everything was just so festive!
Can you spot the rainbow that formed by the fountain? I was teasing my cousin to dive right in and get our "pot of gold"
For some reason, all the shows I gravitated to were musical in nature. One of the reasons would be the loooooong lines in other venues--and also somehow, I was more in the mood to watch something light and casual, given that it's a Sunday and Sundays to me should always be easy, breezy, beautiful (haha, covergirl?)

Was captivated by the Madrigal Singer's performance! I am so going to see their Valentine's Concert!
Pasinaya was so enjoyable! It helped that there were a LOT of teens there, it really contributed to the "school fair" feeling. Everyone was just out to have fun, no restrictions, no worries ;)

That's CCP President, Dr. Raul Sunico getting his portrait done at the Rapid Sketching booth!

See how the CCP grounds was transformed into a festival area?
I was dead beat from a looooong day of walking around (in heels!) and gushing over world-class performances. But the exhaustion was well worth it. I had so much fun! Cannot wait for next year!
