The Met is not just Blair's chill spot.

When are Hollywood stars allowed to dress up in dresses with long trails or in costume-like gowns besides Halloween? During the Costume Institute Gala, of course. The 'Model as Muse' was held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Even if the Met is our favorite Gossip Girl characters' hangout, they seem like they forgot to dress well for the event in this venue. Leighton Meester (more commonly known as Blair Waldorf) unfortunately looked like the clown that pops out of the jack-in-the-box. While the girl we know as Serena van der Woodsen, Blake Lively, may have shown her va-va-voom legs but, her dress was borderline T-A-C-K-Y. Maybe if Leighton wore the dress without the leggings and if Blake's dress left some things to the imagination, they would've been fashion rockstars.

However, there were a lot of celebrities who attended that looked really good such as Katy Perry, Emma Roberts, Elizabeth Hurley, Victoria Beckham and Heidi Klum. I think these girls mixed the 'costume' part with the 'couture' part well.

This year's Gala theme was in support of the supermodels. It has been fifty years since the first supermodel came. As years passed by, muses for designers transferred from models to Hollywood actresses. So, the Costume Institute, decided to hold the event to bring back the glitz, glamor and importance of the Models as Muses. Hopefully, because of this Gala, we'd all be seeing more and more of the Mosses and Bundchens around.
