Hanoi diary: The beauty of Vietnam

As promised, here's a brief lowdown of my recent trip to Hanoi. I'm doing a series and for the first one, allow me to show you the beauty of Vietnam:

Halong Bay
A trip to Hanoi wouldn't be complete without visiting Halong Bay. Halong Bay is included in the new seven natural wonders of the world and rightfully so. Although it looks very much like Palawan, the Bay has a certain charm to it especially because you get to tour around on a cruise ship and even go kayaking just co'z the bay is huge!

Hua Lu - Tam Coc
This is dubbed as the Halong Bay on Land. Some people even claim that this is more beautiful than Halong Bay and for some reason, we have to agree! The place is so peaceful and beautiful. I loved the boat ride in the river because it allowed me to just take in the natural beauty of the place.

Perfume Pagoda
The Perfume Pagoda is the biggest pagoda in Hanoi. Every year people flock there to pray. We didn't really plan to go there but for some reason while we were at the tour agency, we were enticed by some force to book a tour there. Going there is quite a challenge because after the boat ride, you have to climb up the mountain, ride a cable car, walk some more and then go back the same way. It was so hot out that after the tour, we all looked so tan. Hahaha!

Sorry for photo spamming! We all know pictures are worth a thousand words so I just let the photos do the talking :)

Stay tuned for my next posts!

xx,
Ninin
