Watched Alice in Wonderland on 3d today. I'm not sure what's with the hype but aside from the fact that it's sooooo cool to watch fantasy films in 3d, it's really not that spectacular.. it's dreary even.
Just saying.

Tea for Meeee!
Flavored drinks are my thing. I like shakes, coffee, teas, anything that is flavored over plain old water! I'm not a big fan though of Green Tea in a bottle (e.g. C2) co'z I think they taste too "commercial" but I'm starting to change my mind when I got my first sip of Real Leaf Green Tea!
One word: AMAZING.
I like the Green Tea with Lemon best co'z it's so refreshing and true to the original taste of tea. It's also very light and not too sweet which I always prefer in everything I take in. I've been drinkng this nonstop for weeks now and I'm still not over how good it tastes!
Seriously, you should try this girls!

Tuba goes International!
In a "socializing" event we had for work, we invited a local importer to provide drinks. At first we were joking around because it was called "VUQO" and it was apparently a high-class form of Tuba (y'know, the wine derived from coconut?). But after two glasses of this stuff, I say good job Philippines! Yu-hum!!!
VUQO is the first and only coconut-based vodka. It has 40% alcohol, and has gone through multiple distillation and filtration. You can drink it straight up or mixed in a cocktail. The girl at the counter let me try one with lychee and a cranberry-dalandan mix. My gosh were they incredible!
If I wasn't one who gets drunk easily, I could have downed down more glasses but because I'm just a social drinker, I was tipsy after that second glass. lol!
These babies are imported to the international market for $6 dollars each. Locally, you can get hold of these at the bar on top of Manila Ocean Park. Apart from that, you can't get these babies anywhere else, unless you contact them directly. I am so glad we invited them to our event!
I have my money on these! I'm excited to see them take the liquor world by storm!

Orange in your coffee
I never really liked Orange mixed with Chocolate or anything creamy. The combination just doesn't work for me so when I saw Starbucks offering their newest coffee flavor, it took me forever to try it.
I asked "Ate" barista which one she recommends and she says she likes the White Orange Mocha more than the latte so her advice I took:
Just as I expected! Ewwie. So okay, I may be biased on this. But the taste just really reminds me of those orange flavored choco cream biscuits I used to have in preparatory school. If I remember right, it was Rebisco Chokies(?) Ugh. I hated those back then, and apparently, I still hate that combination to this day. Seriously. Eww.
What do you girls think about this drink?

Movie Review: Hachiko
I love dogs! I have a soft spot for doggies, it doesn't even matter what they look like or where they come from. I'm one of those people who has a tendency to pick up stray dogs from the street (almost did so once, if only I wasn't on my way to school then). So when I heard about a movie about a dog, the appeal was too great for me to resist: I had to see it!
Hachiko is a true story about a dog who accompanies his master to the train station everyday and returns every afternoon to greet him after work. Sadly, his master passed away one day and never returned to the station. Hachiko faithfully returns to the same spot everyday for years waiting for his beloved master to come home.
Altogether now: AWWWWW.... :( :( :(
Seriously, the synopsis is just as good as the film itself. It's so terribly heartbreaking but heartwarming as well. This is one of those movies you'd be glad you saw. It's simple but truly inspirational. It's such a nice break from all those conflict-ridden hardcore flicks. This one's simple and light which makes it plain beautiful.
PK rating: 9/10
