I think the reason Stomp is so appealing is because it has no words-- and yet everyone can understand it. It has no melody and doesn't follow certain rules and because of it, it cuts across all cultures. Basically, Stomp is a dance, it is moving and creating music based on the rhythm of one's own heart.
It's amazing how the performers turn simple everyday objects into musical instruments and create a whole orchestra out of it. They used brooms, cans, kitchen sinks, newspapers, matches, rubber tubes, the list goes on and on! I love the performance using lighters the most. So entertaining!
This is one of the funniest numbers! So creative and hilarious!
Thank you Citibank for bringing Stomp to Manila, it's really a once in a lifetime experienc!

While all the manifestation and character relations play out like a comic fanboy's dream, Whedon's draft stomp washington also features some political and thematic matter that college students could write theses regarding.
